I've been wanting to take recreational cooking classes for a long time, just to learn different types of cooking and baking. I found a school that offers some great quick one shot culinary classes. I'm so excited! My first class is January 2nd & I'm also doing the cupcake work shop in February. If you love to cook and would like to explore different types of cooking, here is the website http://rec.iceculinary.com/

Here are the descriptions of the classes I'm taking..sounds yummy doesn't it?!

The Italian Steakhouse
Bold, natural flavors dominate the steak tradition of Italy, and you’ll learn to prepare two versions---Florentina and Pizzaiola. You’ll also make the classic accompaniments to these dishes, a trio of great starters and one fabulous dessert. On the menu: Bistecca alla Fiorentina (classic grilled porterhouse flavored with olive oil, lemon and garlic); Bistecca Pizzaiola (seared strip steak garnished with tomato sauce); Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms; Bruschetta with Oven-Roasted Tomatoes; Grilled Shrimp with Rosemary; Tuscan Bean Purée with Sage; Sautéed Spinach with Pine Nuts and Raisins; Risotto Milanese;

Cupcake Workshop 2
If you can’t get enough of cupcakes, join Chef-Instructor Melanie Underwood for the sequel to her popular cupcake workshop. In this class, you’ll learn everything you’ll need to make cupcakes in a variety of delicious flavors and icings, as well as ways to further customize them to your liking. You will make Caramel Cupcakes; Red Velvet Cupcakes; Carrot Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Icing; Tiramisu Cupcakes (espresso cupcakes with mascarpone icing); and Creamsicle Cupcakes (orange cupcakes with vanilla icing).
